Performance

One of the most distinctive features of the iPad Air 4 will be its 5mm processor. The new iPad will be the first of any Apple products to feature the A14 Bionic chip. Apple stated that the Air 4 will have a 30% increase in graphics, as well as a 40% increase in CPU performance from the previous model.

Battery Life

Apple claims that the iPad Air 4 will have a battery life capable of sustaining 10 hours of use while surfing the web and watching videos on Wi-Fi. But 9 hours when using cellular data.

Camera Quality

The rear camera features a 12MP wide-angle lens that can also be found on Apple's iPad Pro. The iPad Pro can utilize its rear camera to shoot 4k video and high-resolution photos, so the Air 4 should boast similar features. Video recording is available in 4K (from 24 to 60 fps), 1080p (30 and 60 fps), and in slow motion at 1080p with 120 and 240 fps.

Audio

This will feature a pair of stereo speakers the should not disappoint. The sound quality previously featured in any of Apple’s iPads have not disappointed in the past. Just don’t expect it to sound as great as the iPad Pro due to its quad-speaker design.

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm this to be true until I get my hands on one of these to test.

Display

One can easily confuse the appearance of the new iPad Air 4 with that of the iPad Pro. It features the same flat-edge and almost full screen design.

Ports

The iPad Air 4 will no longer feature Apple’s lightning ports for USB-C. This will allow you to charge your Air 4 with the same charger used for your MacBook. For once, Apple decided to make our lives easier with the charging situation… go figure.

In Conclusion, TLDR

The iPad Air 4 will be released in October 2020 at an opening price of $599. Apple’s Air 4 will also feature a much stronger processor that will significantly improve performances from the previous model.
